2014 Wedding Trend: Pastels

There is one undeniable factor in all of the predicted trends for 2014: an abundance of color! I was particularly excited to see a pastel palette on the list. The muted tones are soft and romantic while the variety of colors keeps the look whimsical.

I'm not the only one loving this trend. Whitney Port recently showed off her inspiration boards for her upcoming wedding, and included was a beach themed board incorporating pops of pastel color.

So when I came across The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco's wedding photos I was instantly mesmerized! She shared various candid moments on instagram that are just radiating with happiness.
                                                                              


The obvious stand out of the night is that fabulous pink dress! Colored dresses have been becoming increasingly popular that last few seasons, and I suspect after seeing how utterly breathtaking Kaley looks, we'll see more brides opting for a nontraditional hue.





After I got over that fantastic Vera Wang gown, I noticed another interesting wedding detail;She had an upside down cake!! Now that is what I call unique. Actually, I'm not even sure how it's even possible, but I love it! It is the perfect whimsical touch to her fairy tale wedding.

A charming macaroon cake is simple to construct, and therefore very cost efficient compared to your tradition tiered cake.

Sunday October 20th, Kelly Clarkson got hitched to talent manager Brandon Blackstock at Blackberry Farm in Walland Tennessee. She released wedding photos via Twitter leaving us in awe of her gorgeous wedding style.




The Hair

Kelly's updo is the perfect example of how a slightly messy updo can look polished without being stiff.

Kelly chose a Temperley Bridal design that has an ethereal meets vintage vibe. The long lace sleeves are the perfect compliment to a fall wedding.

The Ring!

Talk about a wow ring! Kelly's yellow carnary engagement ring is surrounded by white diamonds and features a radiant cut. It's rumored to be larger than 5 carats.

The pair tied the knot at a farm nestled up in the Smokey Mountains. This intimate venue was the ideal backdrop to their rustic vintage vibe.
