A Wedding Remembered

There is so much anticipation leading up to a wedding, it's easy to think you'll remember it forever. Everyone knows your wedding is one of the most important days in your life. It's nice to have photos to look back on and cherish, but there are a slew of other unique ways to remember that day.

First Dance Lyrics
Photo of your first dance with lyrics to the song you danced to...oh yes definitely!
Have the song lyrics to your first dance put on a photo. It's a sweet reminder of that special moment.

Everyone knows about preserving a wedding dress, but does that 2x3 ft box really do it justice? I love the idea of having your entire gown framed and hung up in your closet. Of course this does require a walk in, so make sure your new husband keeps this in mind..

A great way to get your guest involved at your wedding is incorporating Instagram. You can ask them to use a particular hashtag when uploading photos such as #chris&laura2014. This allows you access to all the wonderful candid shots.

Winter Wedding Inspiration

There are various reasons to love the winter holidays. Visiting with family, home-cooked meals, and romance in the air are just some of the perks. No wonder so many consider it their favorite time of year. The season can be quite magical, which makes it perfect for a wedding.

Just in case you're not convinced, take a look at all of this winter wedding gorgeousness:

One of the benefits of a winter wedding is the amazing photography opportunities! During the winter season the sun is lower which means less harsh effects and shadows. Your photos will turn out crisp and sharp looking. Also let's not forget the beautiful scenery, which is definitely worth enduring a little chilly weather.

You can keep your winter theme ethereal by using natural decoration.

Wedding Inspiration: Lace and Burlap

A "Rustic Chic" wedding theme has been popular the past few seasons, and it's not hard to see why. This concept incorporates the beauty of natural materials and colors with stylish details that comes across as fashionable and laid back. It's a theme that is perfect for do-it-yourself projects. This helps make it affordable and personalized. Of course wedding trends will continue to change with every season, but Rustic Chic will surely remain a hit among brides.

One idea that is perfect for this theme is combining lace and burlap. The opposition of these fabrics makes them a perfect match together. The femininity of the lace with the simplicity of burlap is the ideal accent for a rustic wedding.

There are so many ways to incorporate lace and burlap into your wedding. Here are a few of our favorite ideas:

Gifts for the Ladies

There are a lot of details to think through when planning a wedding, but one you definitely do not want to overlook is a gift for your bridesmaids. These ladies have to make sacrifices to be a part of your big day, so show them some love! You want your bridesmaids to feel important and the perfect way to show them your appreciation is through a great gift.

Unfortunately, the world is full of tacky bridesmaid gifts. Just in case you don't believe me, here are a few examples:

I rest my case. And if you're wondering, yes that is a pair of underwear with the word "bridesmaid" bedazzled on the side. These are not exactly going to make a girl feel sexy.

This is not to say monogrammed gifts are always a bad idea. They can be cute IN ADDITION  to something a little more substantial. A great way to test out your gift ideas is to think about if you would be excited to receive it. Let's be honest you would not be jumping for joy over a tank top.

There is no need to worry though, we complied some great gift ideas your girls will be sure to love.
The best thing you can do is give little luxuries they would like, but might not purchase for themselves.

Keep in mind you are not limited to one particular gift for all your girls. In fact, it's a great idea to give different gifts that are tailored to each woman's taste. Just be sure to keep all gifts around the same price, and you will be sure to have a happy group of bridesmaids!

Wedding Inspiration:Baby's Breath

Baby's Breath might be known as a filler in flower arrangements, but it's absolutely stunning on it's own! It is inexpensive and easy to incorporate in various aspects of your wedding. The delicate look of these flowers adds a feminine flair. Whether you use a touch of Baby's Breath, or make it your whole theme, it will surely be gorgeous.

Here are some ways to work Baby's Breath into your wedding.

1. Invitations- These invitations are a perfect way to give your guest a hint of the rustic romantic feel before they even arrive to the ceremony.

2. Wedding Cake- Fresh flowers have always been a beautiful touch on a cake, but baby's breath are particularly simplistic and chic.

3. Ceremony Accents-Frame your aisle with Baby's Breath in wooden barrels. The stark white against soft brown will photograph beautifully. Also for your ceremony, Baby's Breath adds a soft touch to an archway.

4. Flower Crown- This hair accessory adds a whimsy feel to your wedding party's style.

5. Bouquet- By far the easiest way to incorporate Baby's Breath, you can't go wrong with this pretty arrangement.

6. Chandelier- I love the idea of the decor drama hanging from the ceiling instead of large centerpieces that block your guests' views. Add some wow factor with this Baby's Breath Chandelier.

Celebrity Wedding Inspiration:Kelly Clarkson

We look to celebrities for fashion, hair, and beauty trends, therefore their weddings are the ultimate source for inspiration.

Sunday October 20th, Kelly Clarkson got hitched to talent manager Brandon Blackstock at Blackberry Farm in Walland Tennessee. She released wedding photos via Twitter leaving us in awe of her gorgeous wedding style.

The Hair

Kelly's updo is the perfect example of how a slightly messy updo can look polished without being stiff.

The Ring!

Talk about a wow ring! Kelly's yellow carnary engagement ring is surrounded by white diamonds and features a radiant cut. It's rumored to be larger than 5 carats.

Every show is broken down into different themed categories. The features this year were British Invasion, Birds of Paradise, Shipwrecked, and Parisian Nights.

Radiant Orchid Wedding Color Schemes

It's official! Pantone has declared Radiant Orchid the color of the year!

“While the 2013 color of the year, PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, served as a symbol of growth, renewal and prosperity, Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society.”

While purple has always been a favorite for wedding color schemes, this color is something entirely new. This hue blends purple and fuchsia perfectly, creating a bold and energizing look. Weather you prefer an exotic tropical palette or more sophisticated tones, there is sure to be a way to incorporate Radiant Orchid into your color scheme.

Decade Inspiration: The 1920's

The Roaring Twenties is full of inspiration for your modern day affair. The decade is known for jazz, liquor, and the influence of Art Deco. A sense of the era can easily be applied to numerous aspects of your wedding for a perfectly chic 1920's feel.

Fashion
 1. Your bridesmaids will feel glamorous and fun in this attire. The best part is they will be dying to wear these beaded numbers again!

2. Women became more experimental with their beauty looks in the twenties, and so should you! Whether you rock a jeweled headband or a vampy lip, you can't go wrong.

3. Flapper inspired flower girls. I can't even handle this, it's just too cute.

4. Who says bridal shoes have to be uncomfortable? Take a cue from the lovely ladies from the jazz age and opt for a low strappy heel. Bonus points if you learn how to Charleston.

Decor
5. Incorporate the rich geometric lines of Art Deco into your invitations and seating cards for a sleek, sophisticated look.

6. Nothing says 1920's glamour like a champagne tower.

7. Feathers! These can be incorporated in numerous ways including your hair, bouquet, and cake. My favorite happens to be this gorgeous centerpiece.
